The Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) is a not-for-profit community organization that provides emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence. The primary urpose of CCSS is to provide temporary shelter for abused women and their children. CCSS also provides comprehensive social services to all victims of domestic violence; such services include individual and group counseling for women and children, hospital-based victim's advocacy, court advocacy for vitcims, assisting victims in obtaining financial and medical aid, community education, professional training, and counseling programs for men who batter.
